God loves us and desires to spend time with us. It is through prayer that this is accomplished, as it draws us into His presence. Prayer is simply a conversation between us and God that involves both talking and listening. It enables us to know God better and helps us to discern His will.

Through prayer we have access to God’s guidance, help, relief, peace, and forgiveness. Prayer is effective and powerful - it can change circumstances and it can change us.

We are invited to pray, but also commanded to pray. Jesus stayed connected to His Father through prayer, and if we follow His example, we, too can have a wonderful, intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father.
